Dr. Jones is fellowship-trained in the treatment of sports medicine injuries and disorders of the shoulder. He has a special interest in advanced arthroscopic techniques of the knee, shoulder, and elbow.

He is one of the leading surgeons in Southern Colorado who performs advanced cartilage restoration procedures such as autologous cartilage implantation and meniscal transplantation. He is also an expert in performing total shoulder replacement.

More about Dr. Jones

Dr. Jones’ interest in sports medicine started early in his life as he grew up heavily involved in sports and played varsity baseball at Wake Forest University. This interest continues for the whole Jones family, and they participate often in sports such as snow skiing, ultra-distance running, Ironman triathlons, tennis, volleyball, mountain biking, and riding dirt bikes.

In Colorado Springs, Phill has been directly involved with the care and treatment of professional and collegiate athletes, as well as Olympic Training Center athletes. He also completed a certification course to become a golf fitness instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute.

Phill’s wife, Lotta, is a marketing consultant, and they have three wonderful children. When the weather is warm Phill enjoys playing golf, but when the snow starts to fall, his true passion is skiing. Phill and Lotta enjoy Colorado Springs, and look forward to raising their children at the foot of the mountains.

More about Cara

Cara was born in the Chicago suburbs, but grew up skiing the Rockies and eventually made her way out west to study at CU Boulder.  She worked with an orthopedic hand surgeon in the Boulder area before deciding to attend PA school.
After graduating from Penn State, she worked in general orthopedics and orthopedic urgent care on the island of Oahu, Hawaii before returning to Colorado to join Dr. Jones.  She is happy to be back in the mountains and helping her patients stay active to experience everything Colorado has to offer.  She also enjoys supporting the large military and veteran population in the Springs.
