On March 28, 2024, Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group received written notice from Injury Finance, LLC (a subsidiary of Omni Healthcare Financial Holdings) about a data security breach at Omni Healthcare involving the information of some of Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group’s patients who are affiliated with Injury Finance. Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group’s computer network was not involved in the incident. Below are the details surrounding the Omni Healthcare event.

On January 19, 2024, Omni Healthcare (Injury Finance) experienced a network disruption and ransomware attack that impacted its ability to access certain files on its network. Omni Healthcare reported that it immediately isolated its network and engaged third-party specialists to investigate. Omni Healthcare determined that an unknown third-party accessed or acquired certain information on Omni Healthcare’s network between January 18, 2024, and January 19, 2024. Omni Healthcare reviewed the information to determine the type of information potentially involved and to whom it related. Omni Healthcare determined that a subset of the information belonged to patients who are associated with Injury Finance and were patients of Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group. Omni Healthcare will be mailing notice letters in May to any potentially involved patients of Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group.
