More about Katie
Katie was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. While attending Texas A&M University, she began training service dogs for two separate organizations. Working with a population facing physical barriers fostered a passion for caring for the human body on a medical level. A love of orthopedics had begun and Katie immersed herself in it by volunteering and shadowing within the field. She continued to work one-on-one with service dog teams throughout PA school and after, further assuring her desire to work within the orthopedic field.
In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and dog. They enjoy hiking and have a goal to hike all of the Colorado 14ers. They also enjoy downhill skiing, walking the dog, reading books, and traveling to visit friends and family.
