Dr. Myers was born in Galion, Ohio and attended the University of Utah where he received a skiing scholarship for Alpine Ski Racing. He later graduated with a zoology degree from Miami University of Ohio and then attended Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, graduating in 1983. He trained in orthopaedic surgery at the Brown University Program in Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island, and has been practicing in Colorado Springs since 1989.
Dr. Myers completed hip surgery fellowship in Bern, Switzerland under the directorship of Dr. Reinehold Ganz. He currently focuses his practice on disorders of the hip, knee and lower extremity and serves as Chief of Staff at Penrose Hospital. He is also a team physician for the US Ski Team.
Dr. Myers is married to Carol, who is a local artist. They have two children.
