Dr. Redfern was born and raised in Marietta, GA.  After working several years as an engineer, he decided to change careers and attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.  He went on to complete an orthopaedic residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA followed by a orthopaedic sports medicine fellowhip at the university of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT.  In addition to general orthopaedic care, Dr. Redfern has a particular interest in arthroscopic as well as open techniques for shoulder and knee disorders.

Dr. Redfern and his wife, Roma, have one daughter and enjoy many outdoor activities such as snow skiing, hiking, and running.
