Dr. Waldron was born in Kentucky and attended undergraduate college at Centre College of Kentucky and then the University of Louisville School of medicine. After a year of internship at the Denver General Hospital and two years as a flight surgeon in the Air Force, Dr. Waldron returned to the University of Colorado School of medicine for four years specialty training in orthopaedic surgery. Upon completion of that, he entered a private practice in Colorado Springs in 1965 and has continued in the private practice of general orthopaedic surgery in Colorado Springs since that time. During this period, he served as assistant clinical professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics, and actively participated in training and teaching students and resident staff. Over the past 10 years, he has also been actively involved with the Semester-At-Sea Program which involved being the physician on a ship around the world on four occasions, taking care of college-aged students and the ship's crew.
Dr. Waldron has an active office practice seeing general orthopedic problems, as well as independent medical evaluations and second opinions. He also continues to assist in surgeries, especially on his own patients. Dr. Waldron continues to enjoy the practice of general orthopedics and especially spending time with patients. Dr. Waldron has been listed as one of the Best Doctors in America since 1996.
