Dr. Sung is a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in cervical and lumbar surgery, microsurgery, and minimally invasive surgery. He also performs complex spine reconstruction via minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Sung also offers spine surgery with local or spinal anesthesia as an alternative to general anesthesia. These options allow many patients to have complex surgeries in an outpatient setting. Dr. Sung’s expertise with minimally invasive techniques allows for quicker recovery and faster return to normal function.

In Colorado Springs, Phill has been directly involved with the care and treatment of professional and collegiate athletes, as well as Olympic Training Center athletes. He also completed a certification course to become a golf fitness instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute.

Phill's wife, Lotta, is a marketing consultant, and they have three wonderful children. When the weather is warm Phill enjoys playing golf, but when the snow starts to fall, his true passion is skiing. Phill and Lotta enjoy Colorado Springs, and look forward to raising their children at the foot of the mountains.

Jenielle's interest in orthopaedics began during her undergraduate experience in Athletic Training with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. Her clinical nursing practice was heightened at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center level I trauma facility specializing in post operative orthopaedic spine surgery, rehabilitation, and trauma in the acute care setting.  Prior to joining Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group she expanded her clinical experience at St. Francis Medical Center Total Joint & Spine Center.
